2025 Mallorca Open

This year’s 2025 Mallorca Open was from April 4th – 6th with warm sunny weather every day.

The first day was as usual played at Son Quint for the one v two arm challenge cup. A hard fought draw resulting in the two armers retaining the cup.

The evening was at the Anchor pub in El Toro with everyone attending. Plenty to eat and even more to drink, a fairly early night for some but a few hard liners ended up in the Prince Willliam pub in Magaluf until the early hours

First round of the completion proper was at Son Vida with David Bailey taking the lead with 34 points followed by Keith Buckett with 32 points and Terry Adnams in third with 30 points.

We had gained an extra one armer by this time, no not an accident, Mike Cook arrived to join us for the last two days.

The second round was at Son Muntaner, a great course but is by far the hardest of the three courses. It has been used on the European tour various times.

David couldn’t maintain his lead, probably due to a very late note leaving Keith to take over and win the completion with a total of 68 points. Darren Masters taking runner up spot with 61 points

Longest drive was won by Rob Paul

Nearest the pin was Mike Cook

All in all another great week-end although a lot of people are now coming for a whole week to make more of a holiday out of it.

Well done all who attended and look forward to seeing you all again next year. More people are always welcome.

Keith Buckett
